I worked with Alison the owner who was very enthusiastic and attentive. I didn't feel pressured at all to buy. She even came in on a Sunday when the store was closed so that I could show my visiting grandmother my dress. The alterations staff was also really nice and helped to calm my nerves. I would definately reccomend this store to a friend

My dress from The Plumed Serpent was absolutely fabulous. I had been to a bunch of big NYC boutiques - Saks, Amsale, etc. and loved the personalized service and convenience of PS. Not having to hop a train for every fitting was only one of the huge perks. They had a beautiful selection of dresses and I fell absolutely in love with the Rivini Angel. All the girls were fabulous to work with, and Allison was always there to give honest and helpful advice. She's a huge sweetheart and makes you feel like her most special bride even when you know she has tons of brides she's working with. They are incredibly flexible on scheduling fittings and dress visits. They let me bring my family to see the dress, then come back with possible shoe selections, all before my first fitting. My seemstress was amazing When the dress first came in I thought it would never fit properly through the chest and I just couldn't quite describe what didn't feel right. The next time I came back in it was perfect! Somehow she understood my babbling and made it just right. I was so thrilled. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dress in the CT area. I've sent two friends there and they have both been equally as happy!

I purchased the Rivini Lismora Gown for my July nuptials at the Plumed Serpent. It was actually the first one I tried on - but because I am so indecisive and wanted to make sure it was "the one" I had to go to just about every boutique known to man in the Greater NYC area. I tried on about 40 dresses. What I loved most about the Plumed Serpent is that they only carry the best designers so if you are a champagne taste kind of girl, you will appreciate the quality of these gowns. I also went to the cheapy places trying to convince myself that I didn't need to spend $6000 on a dress - but there is just a difference between high fashion/ high quality and your every day cheap looking bright white dress. I opted for the high quality. The dress did not disappoint it was one of the main topics of the wedding. You really develop a relationship with the ladies at The Plumed Serpent over the course of the year that you are working with them. I ended up moving to NYC from CT and would come in by train to do my fittings and if the staff was able to they would pick me up and drop me off at the train station. If I called they knew who I was and what dress I ordered. I also ordered all of my bridesmaids dresses there by Amsale. Hands down the most beautiful gowns in the most gorgeous blue color. Again not your typical cheap bridesmaid gowns but elegant "wear them to another event" gowns. I didn't want my girls to look like "bridesmaids" I wanted them to look like stunning goddesses and I know I achieved that. If you want personalized private attention go to the Plumed Serpent - Love them!

I highly recommend the Plumed Serpent. We bought my wedding dress and my mom's mother-of-the-bride dress from them. Allison, Lissa and the other women there were really wonderful to work with and we were so happy with the dresses.

Forget Say Yes to the Dress, Allison and her staff at the Plumed Serpent will make you feel like Royalty! Everything about my experience, from trying on, to fittings and final pickup was wonderful. I LOVED my dress, and got so many compliments on how beautiful and perfect it was for me! Allison was a dream to work with, she saw I was a little anxious and was able to calm me nerves and helped me find the right dress, among a sea of beautiful gowns to choose from. I drove halfway across the state for this store, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat for their level of service and selection. There's nothing like standing in your wedding gown, on a stage in front of huge mirrors, drinking champagne and feeling like a princess! This is THE store to buy your dress at!

I had a wonderful experience with The Plumed Serpent in Westport! The staff was very responsive and quick to help me out with any questions/needs....the first dress I tried on was the one I bought (although I did try on others just to be sure). I was able to pop in and out of work for an hour for a fitting without any delays or problems, which was important to me as well during the work week.

We found my beautiful Monique L'Huillier gown from here and it was an amazing experience. They are so patient and accommodating, the whole process was stress free. I live in D.C. and so coming up for fittings was difficult but they were very flexible and worked around my schedule perfectly. I loved trying gowns on the first day we went in. They have all of the top designers and everyone was so knowledgeable and extremely helpful in picking out the perfect gown for me...and then showing us how to put it on. We had several lessons in sash-tying :) Everything was great, and the seamstress Lissa is the BEST in town!

Alison and Susie are the best! They have the most beautiful gowns in the area- ranging from traditional to fashion forward. When I first went into the shop I had a specific dress in mind- and even though we did not have an appointment- Alison stayed LATE to accommodate us. (I say US because I went there with one of my friends who was also getting married. She too bought her dress from them and loved them just as much as I did). That evening I decided that no matter what dress I decided on- I would have to purchase it through the Plumed Serpent! Not only did I end buying a Romona Keveza dress from them- I later attended an accessory trunk show and had my entire look tied up from head to toe. Every time I walked into that shop I felt welcomed and like I was dealing with friends rather than a business. I would recommend the Plumed Serpent to anyone and can't wait for my friends to get married so I can go back and buy their dress with them!!!

Exceptional service...worked within my budget...adore my dress!!

I love this place!!! The girls are wonderful! The store and gowns are BEAUTIFUL! I traveled from an hr away and never had an issue getting a time that would work for me. Allison is amazing and knows everything about wedding attire! They did all of my fittings and even did the preservation on my gown. I felt so great on my wedding day, I wish I could still wear my dress around! I highly recommend The Plumed Serpent!!

I purchased my wedding dress at the Plumed Serpent and had a wonderful experience. Living in Brooklyn, I went to several bridal salons in NYC, but decided instead to buy my dress at the Plumed Serpent. They have a wonderful selection of beautiful dresses, yet the collection is edited and not overwhelming. The staff are all extremely pleasant to work with and genuinely seem excited about each bride's dress and details. I never felt any pressure from the sales team (unlike some other bridal stores I've been to). I especially liked the styling event they had with Paris Accessories (jewelry, veils, etc.). The alterations made on my dress were impeccable. However, alteration appointments can only be made on Wednesday and Thursdays (my only complaint since coming from the city after work on a weekday was sometimes difficult). Overall, a wonderful experience.

The Plumed Serpent's consultants & dresses are amazing! My appointment began with a warm greeting and complimentary mimosas! The salon was just recently remodeled and the viewing "stages" are beautiful. My party relaxed while my consultant assisted me in finding the perfect dress. I knew that usually you are supposed to order a wedding gown a minimum of 9 months before your date. However, they made certain that my dress came in on time. The dresses are reasonably priced and like most salons, the alterations are not included. The staff kept me informed and on schedule every step of the way! I work long hours and even with my crazy schedule, The Plumed Serpent accomodated me. On one of my visits, the girls even stayed past close, because I couldn't make it during normal hours, just to make certain I my dresswas altered on time. My dress was beyond beautiful!!!!

This is a stunning bridal salon with an amazing selection of dresses. This was the first stop in my 4 appointments (the rest in NYC including Kleinfelds) and all I can say is the rest were quickly cancelled. I bought the Rivini Thirteen gown - 13 tiers of lace in all different patterns with a subtle but stunning belt and button from top to bottom. The dress was unique, antique-y and beachy which was perfect for my wedding on the water at Yacht Club. Alison was my sales person and I found her to be warm, lovely, friendly, and honest. When something didn't work she would be the first to say so but when something did (THE dress) she was supportive and provided all the necessary accessories to try on with it to get the whole experience. Kathy did my alerations and was very helpful.The only thing I would say is these dresses are not cheap. If you have a price point you need to stick to, that should be the first sentence out of your mouth. We never discussed price initially and the dress I chose was more expensive than our initial budget for it. However, it REALLY was the perfect dress and I think it was worth every penny. Alterations at the salon were a flat $500 but it includes every fitting (I had 3) and tweak needed until you pick up your dress. If someone refers you, I believe you get a discount although I am not sure - my husband's aunt who got married a year before me came to my first appointment and because she got her dress there I got a small discount.

I had an amazing experience choosing my dress. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. I was 5 months pregnant and was under a time constraint, but could not have been more at ease that I was in good hands. I had one dress fitting after trying it on and it was perfect!

I purchased my dress and accessories from the Plumed Serpent. Having shopped at many boutiques, the PS was the only store where I really felt like the star of the show. No rushing or pressuring. I probably tried on almost every dress in the store! Alison, the owner, was the person I worked with and she is wonderful. My bridesmaid dresses were also from the Plumed Serpent, and everything was perfect there as well.As a PS bride, I had the opportunity to attend a trunk show with designer Debra Moreland for my accessories. It was an amazing, one-on-one experience where I really felt like my wedding day look was being "designed." I looked and felt very glamorous on my wedding day.As far as alterations, they are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. My seamstress, Lissa, made my dress fit my body to a T. All in all, if you are looking to be a pampered bride, go to the Plumed Serpent.

I got my dress at Plumed Serpent and I couldn't say enough about it! I absolutely loved the Monique dress that I chose and people at the wedding loved it as well! The Plumed Serpent did everything from my dress to my earrings and veil to my shoes and everything was great! They dressed me up the first day I was there and made me feel like a true princess & sold me on the dress I had tried on-working with them was great!

I absolutely recommend finding your dress at the Plumed Serpent. The ladies are so attentive and it was nice to find a dress with ease. Going to a big NY city bridal salon was not for me. I wanted a nice intimate place and the Plumed Serpent was it!

Suzy at the Serpent is so encouraging and wonderful and fun to work with. The dress and the whole experience was just what I had in mind. It's worth the trip to Westport, CT!!

Before visiting the Plumed Serpent I had been to two other shops and just did not feel the "wow" factor for any of the dresses I had tried on. I went to the shop on a busy Saturday and had the most relaxing and enjoyable experience with my mom complete with a glass of Champagne. The sales girls work as a team and help eachother to give input and suggestions to help you find what you are looking for. I would absolutely recommend going to the Plumed Serpent, their selection of gowns really promises something for everyone.
