Letitia's is AMAZING and EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL! I will never go anywhere else and everyone that I have referred to Letitia's feels the same way. From the moment I stepped foot in the store, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming smile from Laura. She immediately made me feel at ease. Laura assured me that I would find the perfect dress TODAY. I must say that I was doubtful as I had been to many shops all over Westchester(I sat in traffic for over 1 hour just to make another attempt @ Letitia's) and I was still without a dress. After trying on 3 dresses, I found the perfect one. Thank you, Laura! In fact, I brought my bridesmaids back, my mom and future mother-in-law for a dress and they all left utterly amazed with the service and selection. The service is above and beyond....EXCEPTIONAL! ***********I just read the previous review and I am left dumbfounded as I witnessed the entire experience between Laura and the Manhattan bride. Yes, Ruthie was away and the store was packed. ( I must also add that an entire rack of dresses just fell to the ground and Laura shrugged it off and said, "We will deal with this later. I have brides to take care of." Laura did not stop for a moment to ensure that everyone was well taken care of )despite the crowd and she always engages her clients with questions as to what they like and dislike about the dresses (SO SHE HAS AN UNDERSTANDING AS TO WHICH DIRECTION SHE SHOULD LEAD THE BRIDE IN NEXT) I felt that the bride was unwilling to give any of the dresses a fair chance and didn't make shopping for her wedding dress a pleasant experience for her mother or Laura. Do not hestitate going to Letitia's for your next dress, you will not be sorry. By the way, please ask for Laura or Ruthie and you too will be greeted with a warm and welcoming smile as I was.

After such an amazing experience purchasing flower girl dresses from Letitia's last year, I knew that they would make buying the perfect “sisters and mother of the bar mitzvah dresses” a breeze. The minute I walked through the door Ruthie took me under her wing. She was patient and quickly understood my style and my need for glitz! She treated my girls and I like family. She found each of us the perfect dress. I was called, “Princess Mama,” “ Bar Mitzvah Diva,” and “Red Carpet Worthy!” I felt like a million dollars in my dress! Beside the fact that our dresses were perfect, Rosa made sure that every strap, hem, dart, and stitch was just right. We loved the custom shawls that you created and designed for our dresses as well. Thank goodness, my girls were beautiful AND comfortable! It is no surprise that Letitia’s has such an amazing reputation in the metropolitan area!

First I would like to start off by saying I grew up in Rockland County and know MANY MANY people that get dresses at Letitia's for various occasions. When I got engaged and needed a wedding dress I was so excited to go to Letitia's even though I live in Manhattan I was willing to take the trip. My mom and I arrived at 9am, I had a 10 am appointment, the lady on the phone informed me I should come as early as possible around 9am to get in before the crowd and to be sure I get good attention as my wedding is coming up soon and they would be happy to help. The dresses were in my price range and she was confident we could work together to find a dress. Wow... i was so excited anticipating my first try on with mom of a wedding dress and even better sounded like I would be receiving great assistance in the process. I showed up at 9am very excited... The lady (Laura) answered the door asking why I was so early and said that I am welcome to look through the dresses but she wouldn't be able to assist me before 10am since they were short staffed. NO PROBLEM things happen i was happy to browse the dresses and even left to get some tea so she wouldn't feel pressured to help. When 10am came I had requested to begin to try on the 8 gowns I had selected which would only be fair since I waited an hour and there was only one other cusomer in the store that was being helped. This is where the PROBLEM started. Laura was SOOOOO rude and not helpful and still had no time for me. I tried on one dress and really did not like it, this was the first wedding dress i ever tried on in my life and Laura asked me what I didn't like, my answer was not specific enough so she asked me about 5 more times when I proceeded to describe my area of dis like in different ways. She huffed and puffed and pulled a bunch of dresses I picked out away saying I won't like those either. I tried on another dress and it wasn't "IT" so again tried to explain my dislike Laura asked me about 8x and said " If you think you are going to try on 275 dresses you are wrong. I can't help you when you can't explain what's wrong with the dresses". I still kept my head high and since I waited an hour wanted to try on the rest of my dresses Laura's attitude and pressing for questions continued to the point that I was shaking from the over 5-8 questions on each of the only 3 dresses I didn't like. We left the store, Laura did not get it, not even once did she say you know what I get you are not sure what you are looking for try on what you picked and I can suggest a few that might look good. She didn't even ask us to come back and try again and that she would help. this was a horrible experience. Since Letitia's I have found my dress and visited 5 more shops where we were treated beautifully with so much respect and the girls were able to help me find dresses that fit my needs, not once was I asked more than one time (if at all) what I didn't like about each dress. Laura would it have been so hard to make another suggestion or just let me try on the 8 dresses to see if I would like a style that you might have had more of? I mean this isn't rocket science do you not know how to help someone find what suits them??? Steer away from Letitias unless you want to have a stressful unpleasant experience. We also were there on a weekend when Ruthie was away (4/29/12) and from whay I hear doubtful we would have been treated the same way, it was just Laura did not know how to handle two customers at once on her own.

I had gone to RK Bridal in Manhattan to try on dresses because they had the largest selection in the area. But I did not want to keep going into Manhattan (I live in Rockland and work in Westchester) for the fittings and such and then have to bring the dress home from Manhattan. So I tried to find a bridal shop that was more local that would be willing to order the dress I wanted. Letitia's was just the place. They were happy to place to order for the dress although it wasn't one that they carried a sample of. They were a top notch bridal shop. It was clear from the quality of their work and their attention to detail. The corset they fitted me with was also terrific. It was light and thin unlike the one's at David's bridal that are thick and spongy and seem like they would be bulky and too warm to wear comfortably.
