Corsino Cakes

Derek was so easy to work with. My husband and I live out of town and had our wedding was in the Catskills. We never met in person and did everything over email, Derek scanned he's cake sketches and sent them to me. He worked with me to have a cake that fit in my budget and still was all that I envisioned. Not only was the cake beautiful but it was delicious. I recommend his red velvet cake with cream cheese filling, it was awesome! Thank you Derek!

Derek was fantastic to work with. He gave us great advice and ideas for our wedding cake. We knew the cake would look amazing, but we were truly blown away with how great it tasted. It was the best cake we have ever had.

When planning our wedding, we were looking for simple elegance with a twist - we wanted to convey our playful personalities and knew right away that this could be done through an original wedding cake. Our venue was perfect, and the package even included a cake but we wanted something more. After doing some research, I came upon Derek's website - Corsino Cakes, along with a number of other well known bakeries in the Hudson Valley - but there was something about the pictures of the cakes on his website that struck a chord. I contacted Derek and we met to discuss the cake - originally we were just ordering one cake from him, but by the time all was said and done I ordered our wedding cake, a groom's cake, and a birthday cake for my sister - who was celebrating her birthday on the day of our rehearsal dinner. Derek was extremely professional, organized, well spoken, and most importantly, one of the most talented artists I have ever met. When my husband and I went for the flavor tastings, the freshness and uniqueness of the flavor combinations Derek offers in his cakes can not be matched. My mom even commented that she had been to about a dozen weddings in the last 2 years and none of the cakes came even close in taste to what we sampled. It was difficult to pick the final design of our wedding cake - only because I am indecisive and my husband was a huge help. In the end we had a Scuba Diving themed wedding cake, a groom's cake shaped like an ambulance, and a birthday cake that looked like a wine bottle. To top it all off, Derek was able to create a personal cake for my mom, who has celiac. The cake was delicious and a welcome surprise for her. I would recommend Corsino Cakes to anyone and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. It was awesome - people still talk about our wedding cake - and it absolutely delicious!
