Anthony's Pier 9

While planning our wedding, my husband and I heard nothing but glowing reviews of Anthony's Pier 9, and the quality of service, attentiveness and skill completely surpassed our high expectations. We had a small time-frame to assemble our wedding reception, a tight budget, and needed food to please all variety of tastes. As a same-sex couple, we needed a venue & staff that would make us feel welcome, and reassure our family that their sons weren't forced to settle. As a vegetarian myself, the variety of food was of personal concern as well. On all accounts, Anthony's Pier 9 nailed it! The professionalism of their staff was top-notch, the speed of service was excellent, and everyone there seamlessly adapted to any last-minute changes. The food, of course, was fantastic! Our families were stunned at the amount and variety that was offered. Everyone ate well, and several guests left with doggy-bags. A server was assigned just to make sure my husband and I got plenty to eat during the reception, and to take care of any other requests. I need to make a special note of appreciation for our consultant at AP9, Kaitlyn Suttlehan. She is truly an asset to the venue. Professional from the start, she was irreplaceable in her ability to help us put together our wedding day. Kaitlyn is a valued source of advice, and no matter how small the detail, if we mentioned something, it was done! By the end of the process, had she not already been part of the reception, we would have gladly invited her as a personal guest. If you get to work with her, you will not be disappointed! We entered into wedding planning with no idea what we were doing; we ended up getting the very best we could have hoped for. Thank you guys, very much!!

I loved my reception at Anthonys. Kaitlyn helped us the entire time and was there the day of making sure all went smoothly. I cant say one bad thing about my experiance here. The price was perfect as well as the massive amount of wonderful food they give you. The updates to the venue were perfect and I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!!

One word- AMAZING. We had to drive close to 2 hours and all of our local guests drove at least am hour and half each. Some drove close to 4 hours. But totally worth it. We could nt have asked for more or better. The price was with the drive. He quality of service made us feel like royalty. Un freaking believably amazing. Almond out guests had never seen this type of service before. Even after having paid 2-3 times as much for their own events.

I got to have my dream reception at Pier 9. I am Muslim and only eat halal meat and Pier 9 was very accommodating. We found a meat vendor in Jersey and they got all the meat from there. Everything was very organized and they took care of all the details I wanted. In terms of responsiveness, sometimes it would take long for them to return phone calls but besides that, can't complain!!

Anthony's was the perfect choice for our wedding reception! the staff was very accomodating and they did everything to make sure we were well taken care of. All our guests had a blast and had many compliments especially for the food! it was a very stress-free day! it was soo good my niece is now planning her wedding there for 2012!

great food. kind staff, and overly accomodating every step of the way. beautiful facility, very clean. great experience. and even though i wasn't the only event in the facility, i felt as if i was. the separate entrance was great. don't be discouraged, this is not a "wedding factory"

Anthony's Pier 9 had everything we were looking for in a venue and more. The main factor which chose us to pick Pier 9 was their indoor gardens. They are beautiful and in the event that it rains, you have no worries. There is also a gorgeous riverfront park 1 mile from the venue where we were able to take beautiful pictures before the ceremony. I must say that the staff at Pier 9 are INCREDIBLY attentive. From our first meeting, to the many many e-mails I sent to Wanda and Dana, and during our day, the staff was there for answer every question and cater to our every need. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed it. I can't say enough positive things about the service and food at Pier 9. We had so many extra things we wanted to bring for the wedding and Pier 9 set all of them up and took them all down for us with no extra charge. That is best part about Pier 9 is that unlike almost every other venue in the area, they do not charge a 18% service fee and the prices were unbeatable. If you book your event with them, you will not be disappointed.

We had a very small budget for our wedding, but Anthony's Pier 9 was able to give us a beautiful venue at an affordable price. I received many compliments from our guests on how nice the wedding was. I don't think anyone would believe us if we tell them our total bill and what we received for it. It was great! Dana Banker helped me get through the difficult planning process and was there any time I had a question. I would definitely recommend this reception venue. Everything went very smoothly that day and we were very satisfied.

This place is AMAIZING! It was everything we expected and more. The scenery is wonderful, a great place for pictures, the food is out of this world and the staff is uncompareable. Our wedding cake was provided from them and it was SO good. I would recommend this place to everyone who is getting married or having a special event. I hope that if I someday have a daughter they are still open so I can throw her Sweet 16 there.

My guests were so impressed by the wait staff that they actually tipped them in addition to what we had left as gratuity! They still talk about the exceptional service they received! All of my guests were really blown away by the venue and the quality/selection of the menu. My husband and I are so happy we had our reception at Anthony's Pier 9!!

Anthony's was AWESOME. We had a small family emergency before the wedding, and they completely understood, and helped us out with our numbers, letting us change them right up until the night before the reception. As far as value goes, they beat out the competition by far. And for service, I could not have hoped for anything better. They completely catered to our wishes, and anything that we needed, they were right there. Even requests that were sort of out there (my stomach was upset, so I just wanted fruit salad...my bowl was never empty), they had no problem coming through on. I would highly recommend this venue to ANYONE, I guarantee it will be a great time.

Anthony's far exceeded our expectations! Their location is beautiful, and the ceremony gardens are simply serene. The chef was absolutely amazing. The food was perfect. We had many vegan options in our cocktail hour and reception dinner, which he created with passion, flavor, and texture that could rival the San Francisco Bay Area vegan cuisine. Our wedding coordinator, Dana Baker, is the sweetest and most professional woman. She made sure everything was about us, whatever we wanted we got, and she doesn't skimp on a single thing! You must request her if you book at Anthony's.

I would highly recommend Anthony's Pier 9. Everything was phenomenal! Their prices were very reasonable. The food was excellent and my Maitre D' took such good care of us the whole night. We had the Imperial room which had an elevator for us to come out of when we were being introduced for the first time as husband and wife. It also has a huge dance floor. The highlight of the night was us coming out of that elevator because the lights get turned off and no one knows from where we are coming from until they see stairs coming out from the front of the stage, music starts and they start seeing something coming out from on top of the stage. I would definately suggest chair covers even though they are a little expensive, but it gives it that extra elegant touch and really makes it look like a wedding. Their staff is also wonderful because they made my room look extremely beautiful. The display of the full Viennese table was unbelievable and everyone could not believe their eyes. There's so much more I can say, but to sum up the rest of my feedback/comments they were the BEST in everything.

Absolutely best of the best!!! This is what this company is here for and what they do on a daily basis!!! I don't think we could have found a reception venue that does a better job!!! The food was out of this world, and the service provided was exceptional! They worked with us to create a reception that was unique and totally everything we wanted! Worked excellently with our venders to create a smooth evening!!! One that went by far too quickly!!!

This place was perfect!

This was a great venue! I had an incredible experience and everything was taken care of on time and to perfection! The staff was extremely friendls and the prices cannot be beat. The views are also great and the fact that you get your own bridal suite was a big plus!

This was a very nice place to have a wedding. it is also Glatt Kosher which was nice for my husband's family. The only downside is location. It is in the middle of nowhere and very easy to miss.

EXCELLENT! I would use them again in a heartbeat. So professional, warm and accommodating of our every need. And the food was delicious!
